Discovering the Power of Engineering
Cal State East Bay hosts weeklong program for budding engineers
Cal State East Bay faculty and graduate students spent last week teaching Contra Costa County students the fundamentals of engineerings. Students worked in teams to program a robot, and design, build and test a bridge made out of balsa wood to test functionality and strength.
The camp is the culmination of a yearlong experience that started with Cal State East Bay student ambassadors visiting the Contra Costa high schools, midyear visits to campus and interaction between the students, high school teachers and Cal State East Bay faculty.
