Smoke and Tobacco-Free Zone
Cal State East Bay will join the CSU in eliminating all tobacco and nicotine products on campuses, effective Sept. 1
Cal State East Bay is joining the rest of its 22 sister campuses in a landmark system-wide CSU initiative: Becoming a smoke and tobacco-free environment.
Effective Sept. 1, in order to promote the health of faculty, staff and students, and to foster a campus atmosphere that is safe and supportive of students’ learning endeavors, the university is banning the use of all tobacco and nicotine-based products, including cigarettes, chewing tobacco, electronic devices and more. The smoke and tobacco-free environment extends to all buildings and indoor and outdoor structures on Cal State East Bay’s three campuses.
